- Inside the shoe (between the upper and lining material) there is a waterproof and breathable Froddo-TEX membrane. The membrane is practically a pouch that goes around the entire shoe shaft and the seams of the pouch are taped. The height of the pouch's upper edge can be checked from the membrane pockets running alongside the insole.
- A shoe equipped with a waterproof membrane should only be cared for with products recommended for tex membrane shoes. A new shoe does not require pre-treatment but can be protected with a dirt-repellent spray if desired.

💖 PLEASE NOTE THAT TEX-MEMBRANE SHOES ARE NOT THE SAME AS RUBBER BOOTS! 💖 Tex-membrane shoes treated with moisture protection spray keep water out excellently up to a certain limit. But when the shoes get soaking wet, the "effect" of the tex membrane between the upper and lining material may no longer be sufficient. When expecting a rainy day, puddle play, or generally prolonged exposure to wet conditions, it is advisable to wear definitely waterproof rubber boots.

- Usually wears size 43, with a medium-wide G last or a wide H last

- Width at the ball of the foot 11 cm
Maria's foot size 42 in this barefoot shoe model was simply great! The last is so wide and the toe is shaped like the natural curve of the toes, so size 42 is perfectly enough for Maria. In non-barefoot shoes, Maria's size is usually 42.5-43 depending on the width of the last. In shoes other than barefoot shoes, the toe is usually more or less sharp/tapered, so it takes up space at the toe and Maria has to take a bigger size.
