Maria the merchant’s medium-width feet – details:

• Not a high instep and not a low instep
• A “flipper” shape, meaning the toes are almost equally long, with no pronounced curve at the toe line 😊
• A slightly rounded toe box suits best; very pointed shapes often don’t have enough room for Maria’s big toe
• Usually wears size 43, with a medium-wide G last or a wide H last
• In barefoot shoes, typically size 42, because there’s enough room for the toes

Size 42 fit well on Maria’s foot, the width was quite nicely sufficient. In this model, the big toe line is pleasantly straight, so Maria could also take size 42. However, Maria is used to quite a roomy toe box, so she thought that size 43 might be better in terms of length, even though there would still be some room at the toe. The laces can be tightened to achieve a good fit, and an additional insole wouldn’t hurt either. Really nice soft shoes!
