The flexible sole of Affenzahn's Otter shoes is as thin as possible: healthy feet do not need extra cushioning. The shoes have no heel lift, allowing the foot to maintain its natural position. The sole pattern is designed to provide sufficient grip on slippery surfaces.

But when the shoes get soaking wet, the "effectiveness" of the TEX membrane between the upper and lining materials may no longer be sufficient. For rainy days, puddle play, or generally prolonged exposure to wet conditions, it is best to wear definitely waterproof rubber boots.
