Lovely ballerinas from Gabor! The wrinkled rounded toe box is the thing with this model! The patent leather is surprisingly nicely soft, not as stiff as often in shoes. The buckle strap over the instep has an elastic on the inner side and adjustment room for five holes. The strap keeps the shoes comfortably more firmly on the foot. The buckle of the strap has a lovely diamond detail! The toe is foot-shaped, like in barefoot shoes. This way, the toes fit nicely to settle in the shoes. Beautiful versatile shoes, for everyday or party, with a skirt or pants!

Maria the merchant’s medium-width feet – details:

  • Not a high instep and not a low instep
  • A “flipper” shape, meaning the toes are almost equally long, with no pronounced curve at the toe line 😊
  • A slightly rounded toe box suits best; very pointed shapes often don’t have enough room for Maria’s big toe
  • Usually wears size 43, with a medium-wide G last or a wide H last
  • In barefoot shoes, typically size 42, because there’s enough room for the toes
  • Length of the longer foot 26,8 cm
  • Width at the ball of the foot 11 cm

For Maria, it was a surprise that these shoes, marked as a narrowish F last, felt nicely snug in width in size 43. So not wide-feeling, but not narrow either, just right. Hence the last definition "F half" meaning something between a narrowish F last and a medium-wide G last. The shape of the toe box also matters a lot; in this model, the toe is foot-shaped, like in barefoot shoes. This way, Maria's toes fit comfortably in the shoes. Size 42.5 also fit Maria's foot, but Maria's choice would still be size 43, which had a bit more width. Lovely and beautiful shoes!
