Maria the merchant’s medium-width feet – details:

• Not a high instep and not a low instep
• A “flipper” shape, meaning the toes are almost equally long, with no pronounced curve at the toe line 😊
• A slightly rounded toe box suits best; very pointed shapes often don’t have enough room for Maria’s big toe
• Usually wears size 43, with a medium-wide G last or a wide H last
• In barefoot shoes, typically size 42, because there’s enough room for the toes

The size 42 shoe fit Marian well, the width was just right. In this model, the line of the big toe is pleasantly straight, so Maria could perhaps also take size 42. However, Maria is used to having more space at the front, which is why she thought that size 43 might be better in terms of length, even though there would still be some space at the front. However, the laces allowed for a good fit, and an additional insole wouldn't hurt either. Really nice soft shoes!
