Beautiful winter barefoot shoes from Froddo in lovely burgundy (bordeaux) leather! These comfortable barefoot shoes are warm thanks to the wool lining, and the tex membrane also keeps your toes dry. The zippers on the inside of the shoes make them easy to put on, while the Chelsea-style elastic gussets on the outside help the shoes fit comfortably around the ankles.   • Inside the shoe (between the upper and lining materials) is a waterproof and breathable Froddo-TEX membrane. In practice, the membrane is a bag that extends all the way around the shoe and up to the top of the shaft, with taped seams. You can check how high the top of the bag reaches by looking at the membrane pockets beside the tongue.
  • Shoes with a waterproof membrane should only be cared for with products recommended for shoes with a tex membrane. New shoes do not require pretreatment, but can be treated with a dirt-repellent spray if desired

💖 PLEASE NOTE THAT SHOES WITH A TEX MEMBRANE ARE NOT THE SAME AS RUBBER BOOTS! 💖 Shoes with a tex membrane treated with a waterproofing spray keep water out very well up to a certain point. But once the shoes are completely soaked, even the “effectiveness” of the tex membrane between the upper and lining materials may no longer be enough. If rain is forecast or you’ll be spending a long time outdoors in wet weather, we recommend wearing fully waterproof rubber boots.

Maria the merchant’s medium-width feet – details:

• Not a high instep and not a low instep
• A “flipper” shape, meaning the toes are almost equally long, with no pronounced curve at the toe line 😊
• Usually wears size 43, with a medium-wide G last or a wide H last
• Length of the longer foot 26.5 cm
• Width at the ball of the foot 10.8 cm

These barefoot shoes fit Maria wonderfully in size 42! The last is so wide, and the toe box follows the natural curve of the toes, so size 42 is an excellent fit for Maria. Size 41 also fit, but Maria likes a little more room at the toes, so she chooses size 42. In non-barefoot shoes, Maria usually wears size 42.5-43, depending on the width of the last. Non-barefoot shoes usually have more or less pointed toes, which take up room at the front, so Maria has to choose a larger size.
