Size 43 is suitable for Maria. In this size, Maria even has a couple of centimeters of room at the toe, but size 42 felt too narrow at the toe. In size 42, Maria had about a centimeter or a few millimeters of room at the toe. The width at the ball of the foot in size 42 was comfortably snug on Maria's foot, but the toes felt a bit tight since Maria is used to a roomy toe box in shoes. In size 43, the toes had plenty of space, and the width was very good, yet the shoes could still be tightened nicely with the laces for a comfortable fit.
