The laces allow you to adjust the fit comfortably, and the insole is removable and can be replaced with your own insoles. The two zippers make the boots easy to put on even over a higher instep. And these are not just any ankle boots—they belong to Gabor’s Rollingsoft collection. Rollingsoft shoes are lightweight (extra light), particularly flexible, and allow the foot to “roll” naturally (natural rolling off) as you walk. • Not a high instep and not a low instep
• A “flipper” shape, meaning the toes are almost equally long, with no pronounced curve at the toe line 😊
• A slightly rounded toe box suits best; very pointed shapes often don’t have enough room for Maria's big toe
• Usually wears size 43, with a medium-wide G last or a wide H last
• In barefoot shoes, typically size 42, because there’s enough room for the toes
• Length of the longer foot: 26.3 cm
• Width at the ball of the foot: 10.8 cm

Size 42.5 is a good fit for Maria. Thanks to the shape of the toe, Maria's big toe can remain especially straight, leaving more than ample room at the front. However, based on Maria's experience, size 42 was borderline in terms of length, so she chose size 42.5. Maria is used to having plenty of room at the toe. 😊 The width is also wonderfully comfortable, and the fit can be adjusted with the laces. Lovely shoes that feel great!
