• Not a high instep and not a low instep
• A “flipper” shape, meaning the toes are almost equally long, with no pronounced curve at the toe line 😊
• A slightly rounded toe box suits best; very pointed shapes often don’t have enough room for Maria's big toe
• Usually wears size 43, with a medium-wide G last or a wide H last
• In barefoot shoes, typically size 42, because there’s enough room for the toes
• Length of the longer foot: 26.3 cm
• Width at the ball of the foot: 10.8 cm

Size 42 fit Maria's foot, but felt a little too snug for Maria's flipper-shaped foot in terms of width and toe shape. For a narrower foot, size 42 would probably be good in terms of length. Maria would choose size 43, which felt better in terms of width. It felt a little long in length, but that wouldn’t be a problem, as the fit was otherwise comfortable. The leather will also stretch and become pleasantly soft with wear. So, the width is somewhere between a slightly narrow F width and a medium G width. Sanna the merchant’s narrow/medium-width feet – details:

For Sanna, size 40 felt suitable in terms of length, but a little too snug in width. Sanna has a narrow heel, and unfortunately, the heel lifted while walking in this model, as the fit cannot be adjusted with laces. Beautiful ankle boots!

Jaana’s narrow feet – details:

• Usually wears size 38.5 or 39
• A slightly narrow F width feels best
• Length of the longer foot: 24.3 cm
• Width at the ball of the foot: 9.8 cm

For Jaana, size 39 felt just right with the insole. Size 38 was a little too snug, while size 39 was roomy without the insole. But the insole was a great help! Wonderful, stylish shoes!
