Lovely black Josef Seibel ankle boots! Completely black boots or high-cut ankle boots, whichever way you prefer to describe these beauties. The shaft is attractively gathered, with a decorative strap at the top. On the inner side of the strap, there is an elastic insert to improve fit, and zippers on the inner sides for easy wearing. The last is nicely medium-wide, providing plenty of room for the toes. Thanks to the thin fleece lining, these shoes keep you warm even in light frost. Wonderful shoes for many outfits and occasions!

Maria the merchant’s medium-width feet – details:

• Not a high instep and not a low instep
• A “flipper” shape, meaning the toes are almost equally long, with no pronounced curve at the toe line 😊
• A slightly rounded toe box suits best; very pointed shapes often don’t have enough room for Maria’s big toe
• Usually wears size 43, with a medium-wide G last or a wide H last
• In barefoot shoes, typically size 42, because there’s enough room for the toes

Size 43 felt a bit roomy on Maria’s foot, but a thicker sock or insole would fix that. Size 42 also fit Maria’s foot and the width was sufficient, but Maria is used to having extra space at the toe, so she would choose size 43. In this model, the big toe line is nicely straight, just right for Maria’s foot. Beautiful soft shoes!
