Ankle boots - light brown leather, block sole

Fine Andrea Contin leather ankle boots! The wonderfully simple and elegant combat boots are made of very soft, classically beautiful light brown leather and are comfortable on the foot. Otherwise, the lighter stripe running around the otherwise dark brown sole adds a nice edge to the look. The ankle boots have a wide last; by tightening or loosening the laces, the fit can be adjusted quite a bit, and the soft leather also shapes nicely. There are zippers on the inner side for putting them on. Really nice ankle boots for many occasions!

Maria the merchant’s medium-width feet – details:

• Not a high instep and not a low instep
• A “flipper” shape, meaning the toes are almost equally long, with no pronounced curve at the toe line 😊
• A slightly rounded toe box suits best; very pointed shapes often don’t have enough room for Maria’s big toe
• Usually wears size 43, with a medium-wide G last or a wide H last
• In barefoot shoes, typically size 42, because there’s enough room for the toes
• Length of the longer foot 26.8 cm
• Width at the ball of the foot 11 cm

Size 42 in this model was good in width for Maria’s foot. It felt slightly short in length, the toes were almost at the end. Size 42 felt snug enough on Maria’s foot, and the leather would surely have given a little. Because of the length, however, Maria would choose size 43; by tightening the laces and using an insole, the next size would fit comfortably. Lovely combat boots!
