Maria the merchant’s medium-width feet – details:

• Not a high instep and not a low instep
• A “flipper” shape, meaning the toes are almost equally long, with no pronounced curve at the toe line 😊
• A slightly rounded toe box suits best; very pointed shapes often don’t have enough room for Maria’s big toe
• Usually wears size 43, with a medium-wide G last or a wide H last
• In barefoot shoes, typically size 42, because there’s enough room for the toes
• Length of the longer foot: 26.5 cm
• Width at the ball of the foot: 10.8 cm

For Maria, size 42.5 in this medium-wide G-last model felt just right, both in width and length, with a comfortably secure fit. Maria also tried size 43, but it felt too roomy since there are no laces to adjust the fit. Size 42 was clearly too small for Maria. The length might have been sufficient in size 42 as well, but the somewhat pointed shape of the toe does not suit Maria’s flipper-shaped toes. Size 42.5, on the other hand, was just right! 👍 Really comfortable-feeling, beautiful shoes!
