Grip+ by Solepex soles: They grip and bite! The shoes are otherwise made in Portugal, but the grippy soles suitable for Finnish winters have been designed and manufactured in Kankaanpää. Maria the merchant’s medium-width feet – details:

• Not a high instep and not a low instep
• A “flipper” shape, meaning the toes are almost equally long, with no pronounced curve at the toe line 😊
• A slightly rounded toe box suits best; very pointed shapes often don’t have enough room for Maria’s big toe
• Usually wears size 43, with a medium-wide G last or a wide H last
• In barefoot shoes, typically size 42, because there’s enough room for the toes

Size 42 in this model was a good fit for Maria. The length was more than sufficient, as the shoes were even slightly too wide for Maria’s foot. They didn’t pinch anywhere! They were indeed a little too roomy for Maria’s foot both in terms of height and around the ankle, although a thicker insole would make the shoes fit the foot better. Lovely-feeling and stylish shoes!
